The Vice President for Information Technology (CIO) provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the University's Information Technology (ITS) department. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing IT services that support academic and administrative functions, ensuring effective and efficient use of information technology to meet institutional goals. The position is also responsible for providing leadership in shaping the University's technology strategy and in identifying new or evolving opportunities for innovation and enhancement. This position oversees all aspects of information systems, including enterprise systems, multimedia services, internet access, instructional systems, server and network infrastructure, and cloud solutions. This role also involves developing policies, setting priorities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Vice President for Information Technology reports to the President and serves as a member of the President's Cabinet.
