Job Summary: The Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) serves as the Chief Enrollment Officer for the University. The VPEM oversees the key enrollment areas of undergraduate, graduate, and international program recruitment, admissions, and enrollment; records and registration; and financial aid. The VPEM leads the development, implementation and continuous refinement of a comprehensive, data-informed Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan with measurable goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). The VPEM also creates a community of enrollment champions and advocates; supports enrollment marketing planning for the University and its multiple campus locations; and collaborates with the University’s diverse communities to communicate the University’s strengths and value. The VPEM provides leadership for a large, complex and multifaceted institutional area and partners with Marketing and Communications, Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to identify areas of collaboration that ensure Enrollment Management and the University are positioned for success. The Vice President for Enrollment Management reports directly to the University President, and is a member of the President’s Cabinet. Job Description: Oversees and supervises all programs within Enrollment Management, such as graduate and undergraduate (new and transfer student) recruitment, admissions and enrollment; international programs; records, registration and financial aid; Coordinates and achieves integration across Enrollment Management areas, in accordance with the University’s mission, values, and strategic goals; Leads the University’s Enrollment Management Council. Leads the institution in planning, implementing, and evaluating new and transfer student enrollment strategies to meet the University’s enrollment goals; Aligns enrollment goals with the University’s budget and planning goals; Coordinates with Marketing and Communications in enrollment planning, recruitment and promotion of the University to new, transfer and returning students. Achieves the University’s enrollment, retention and student success, and graduation goals for all student populations; Develops specific strategies focused on adult learners, part-time and non-traditional student populations; Seeks opportunities to strategically expand the University’s recruitment range and opportunities. Establishes clear enrollment, retention, persistence, and completion benchmarks; Ensures accountability across Enrollment Management areas for achieving the University’s enrollment goals and performance targets; Works with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs in support of student success, retention and graduation at the University’s main and multiple campus locations; Provides strategic leadership for online and hybrid enrollment growth. Develops and manages community college partnerships and relationships, advancing the recruitment, admissions and enrollment of new and transfer students. Conducts ongoing environmental scanning of demographic trends, regional workforce demand, and competitive positioning to proactively inform and adjust enrollment strategies; Provides market intelligence and competitive analysis to help inform academic program feasibility, development and expansion decisions. Manages the coordination and support of the University’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and related/additional enrollment management systems (e.g., ERP systems). Establishes performance expectations and customer service standards for each unit in Enrollment Management; Monitors and evaluates Enrollment Management areas against those standards. Manages oversight and effective utilization of the Enrollment Management budget. Provides leadership, advice and guidance on enrollment issues to ensure compliance with state and federal mandates. Serves as the University’s representative on enrollment-related matters including information/action items and presentations to the University’s governance boards, and specifically to the Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Enrollment and Technology (ASAET) Committee of the Board of Trustees. Serves as the University’s representative to external stakeholders, including partner institutions, community organizations and government entities, on matters pertaining to enrollment strategy, policy and outcomes. Performs other duties necessary to accomplish the University’s goals and objectives, and/or assigned by the President in the role of Vice President for Enrollment Management.
