The Global Insights Lab (“GIL”) is a national team of investment and estate planning professionals supporting BNY Wealth’s most complex clients and their relationship teams. We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Financial Planner I to join our Wealth Management team. This role will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • CFP designation preferred; CFA will be considered with requisite estate planning experience.
  • 2+ years of investment experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of trust, fiduciary or estate planning experience.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trust.

Responsibilities

  • Create models/thesis/insights to help shape wealth/estate strategy and portfolio construction.
  • Influence others by demonstrating strong wealth advisory ability and communicating and engaging with colleagues (shape the sales messaging, competitor differentiation, etc.).
  • Participate in pre-calls and strategy meetings with sales and client teams.
  • Understand and articulate the investment impact of estate planning decisions (and vice versa).
  • Support the development of new products and services for our Virtual Family Office (“VFO”) team.
  • May assist in advice strategy for large and complex clients.
  • Work independently under limited supervision of the Head of GIL.
  • Contribute to team/firm profitability, assuring retention and expansion of existing client relationships by contributing to superior advice outcomes.
