Currently, we have an immediate opening for a Vice President, Finance to join our team! The Vice President, Finance is a senior financial leader responsible for strengthening the Credit Union’s financial planning, analytical rigor, and balance sheet management to support safe, sound, and sustainable growth. This role leads the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer, executive leadership, and the Board by delivering forward‑looking insights related to financial performance, liquidity, capital adequacy, asset liability management, and risk‑adjusted decision making. The Vice President, Finance ensures financial strategies, models, and reporting frameworks are aligned with GAAP, regulatory expectations, and internal policies while enabling informed strategic and operational decisions across the Credit Union.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with investments, budgeting, forecasting, GAAP, and cost containment.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with managing or supervising employees.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working at a financial institution and/or credit union.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications which includes preparing spreadsheets, working with complex formulas, and utilizing work processing.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • License/Certification: CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading enterprise‑wide financial planning and analysis, including development of annual business plans, operating budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial models aligned with FFCU’s strategic objectives.
  • Delivering organization‑wide financial analysis and decision support related to pricing, product strategy, capital planning, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimization.
  • Advising the Chief Financial Officer, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), and executive leadership on financial performance, asset liability management, investment strategy, capital adequacy, and risk‑adjusted financial outcomes.
  • Overseeing liquidity, cash management, investment analytics, interest rate risk modeling, and balance sheet risk measurement to ensure the ongoing safety and soundness of the Credit Union.
  • Partnering with VP, Controller and VP, Risk Management on all external audits, regulatory examinations, and ongoing assessment of financial, interest rate, and liquidity risk exposure.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective financial reporting, analytical models, policies, and methodologies to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
  • Ensuring financial systems, forecasting tools, and analytical processes remain effective, scalable, and competitive, driving continuous improvement and enhanced financial insight.
  • Overseeing Business Intelligence resources supporting enterprise performance reporting, KPI governance, and executive decision support in partnership with Technology/Data teams.
  • Championing a culture of process excellence by leading process redesigns and the deployment of advanced automation, including AI solutions.
  • Regularly meet with team members to provide coaching, mentorship, and alignment to FFCU’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide team members with the training, tools, and resources necessary to perform effectively and deliver timely, high‑quality financial insights.
  • Hold team accountable for meeting service level agreements, performance expectations, and quality standards, providing feedback and corrective guidance as needed.
  • Support professional development, succession planning, and career growth for FP&A staff through ongoing performance management and development opportunities.
  • Lead change by identifying opportunities that elevate financial insight, decision quality, and organizational performance.
