We are seeking a Vice President of Finance and Accounting to lead financial strategy, accounting operations, and reporting for a mission-driven organization in the healthcare sector. This role provides critical insights to support strategic decision-making, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and drives operational excellence across all finance functions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in accounting and finance with strong leadership, guiding multiple teams and collaborating closely with executive leadership. You will play a pivotal role in shaping financial planning, analysis, and organizational growth while fostering a high-performing, ethical, and accountable finance culture.

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including annual operating plans, multi-year strategic plans, and intra-year updates.
  • Oversee accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and financial reporting for multiple entities.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, supporting leadership decision-making.
  • Drive continuous process improvements leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations.
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors and agencies.
  • Monitor cash flow, optimize liquidity, and maintain strong relationships with banking and treasury partners.
  • Provide cost accounting, margin analysis, and financial risk management to support business decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with strong preference for healthcare sector expertise.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven track record managing financial operations for multiple entities, including GAAP compliance, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial management tools, payroll systems, and accounts payable platforms.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence executives, mentor teams, and drive organizational performance.
  • Experience with international, non-profit, or multi-entity accounting is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience leading process improvements or financial system implementations.
  • Competitive salary ranging from $176,464 to $202,933 based on experience and qualifications.
