About The Position

We're seeking a forward-thinking Vice President of Engineering & Architecture to lead our global technology platforms — from concept to code. This is more than a leadership role; it's a chance to shape the future of cinema experiences worldwide. You'll architect and guide the systems behind seamless digital experiences for guests and customers. As the leader of our global engineering, quality, and architecture teams, you'll define strategy, inspire innovation, and ensure delivery of resilient, scalable, and secure digital platforms. Your mission? To make every digital touchpoint — from awareness to film and merchandise — fast, intuitive, and delightfully cinematic.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture leadership.
• Proven experience with B2C platforms in retail, entertainment, or hospitality.
• Deep understanding of microservices, multi-tenant cloud architectures, and scalable systems.
• Expertise in AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Strong grasp of mobile (native and hybrid) and API-first design.
• Adept at leading global teams and nurturing talent.
• Natural partner to Product and UX — empathetic to the user journey and obsessed with creating intuitive digital experiences.
• A clear communicator and inspiring executive presence who can translate tech speak into business value.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AI/ML personalization and recommendation engines.
• Background in headless commerce and API ecosystems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead our global software and quality engineering teams in building secure, scalable, cloud-native systems that power the moviegoing experience.
• Build the technologies to deliver a delightful commerce experience for guests focusing on front end development and enabling cloud API services to fuel commerce, marketing and loyalty strategies.
• Own the end-to-end architecture strategy — microservices, multi-tenancy, API-first — built to scale with performance, security, and flexibility.
• Inspire and lead a high-performing, distributed team across the US, UK, and Poland.
• Mentor the next generation of tech leaders.
• Partner with Product and UX to build frictionless, immersive experiences for millions of moviegoers — in-app, online, and in-theater.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and digital transformation strategies to keep Regal ahead of the curve.
• Drive KPIs, SLAs, and engineering best practices to ensure performance, uptime, and world-class digital delivery.
• Partner with the DevOps and Security teams to deliver best practices and automation at every level to deliver with speed and reliability.
