About The Position

The VP, Data Science will define and drive a strategic roadmap for Adara's product portfolio by harnessing the power of advanced data science, machine learning and innovation to drive impactful solutions to ensure measurable growth and meaningful customer experiences.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles, with at least 5 years in senior leadership positions.
• Hands-on experience with data science tools and programming languages (Python, R, Pytorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, and AI techniques.
• Experience deploying AI models at scale, with a strong grasp of MLOps and model lifecycle management.
• Ability to align data science initiatives with business objectives, driving revenue growth and innovation.
• Proactive in identifying new opportunities for data-driven products and insights.
• Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Proven track record of building and managing high-performing data science teams.
• A forward-thinking mindset, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

• Thought leadership in the data science community — such as speaking at conferences, publishing research, or contributing to open-source projects — is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overarching data science strategy, aligning with Adara's business goals in travel and hospitality.
• Lead the development of AI/ML models and advanced analytics solutions to enhance Adara's data products and insights.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to identify new data-driven opportunities, ensuring innovation and competitive differentiation.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data science team globally, fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration.
• Establish best practices for model development, validation, and deployment, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Partner with engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, data lakes, and AI infrastructure.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to deliver actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into Adara's product suite.
• Translate complex data concepts into clear business recommendations, supporting go-to-market strategies and client engagements.
• Act as a thought leader in data science for Adara's clients, presenting innovative solutions and fostering strategic partnerships.
• Represent Adara at industry events, conferences, and in thought leadership initiatives.
• Monitor model performance, iterating and improving algorithms based on real-world data and feedback.
• Stay current on emerging data science trends, tools, and methodologies, ensuring Adara remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
