About The Position

Our client, a leading national insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Vice President, Cyber Underwriter to join their growing Professional Liability team. This role is ideal for an underwriting professional with a strong understanding of cyber risk, technology exposures, and the evolving cybersecurity landscape. The selected individual will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal Cyber and Technology E&O business, managing broker relationships, and contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the portfolio.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
3+ years of Cyber and/or Technology E&O underwriting experience with a carrier or MGA.
In-depth knowledge of cyber risk management and insurance coverages.
Proven ability to analyze complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
Strong broker relationships and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Professional designations (CPCU, RPLU, etc.) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Underwrite and price new and renewal Cyber and Technology E&O submissions in accordance with company guidelines.
Evaluate and analyze risk exposures, financials, and security controls to determine appropriate terms and conditions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents across assigned territories.
Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring profitable growth within underwriting authority.
Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and product management teams to refine underwriting strategies and develop new products as needed.
Stay informed of emerging cyber threats, trends, and regulatory developments impacting insureds.
Contribute to the development of underwriting tools, guidelines, and best practices.
