The Vice President, Corporate Programs is the senior operational leader responsible for integrating and scaling Points of Light’s corporate revenue engine—Activation and Consulting & Insights. Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Corporate Programs, the VP translates strategy into execution, protects margin and delivery quality, and supports leadership across Activation and Consulting & Insights so the SVP can focus on enterprise strategy, executive relationships and growth. This role drives portfolio performance, operational discipline, and cross-functional alignment for revenue, renewals and profitability. In partnership with Development, Finance, Global Network and other cross-functional teams, the VP implements systems, tools, and training resources to deliver POL corporate volunteer programs with excellence and repeatability. In addition to internal portfolio leadership, this role serves as an external-facing leader, partnering closely with Development to drive business development, support complex client pitches, and steward strategic corporate relationships. The VP represents Points of Light in high-stakes client conversations, supports revenue growth through consultative selling, and serves as an executive escalation point for corporate partners and Global Network affiliates. The VP must be passionate about Points of Light’s mission and demonstrate strong leadership, operational rigor, and revenue orientation.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in corporate social impact, employee volunteerism and community engagement strategy.
  • Strong portfolio and systems thinker; able to translate strategy into scalable, repeatable models.
  • Operationally rigorous with strong financial and margin awareness.
  • Skilled at converting insights into tools, frameworks and productized offerings.
  • Exceptional communicator with executive presence and the ability to influence internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative leader who builds alignment across internal teams and external partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable driving growth in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • Proficient in CRM, project management and data-driven program oversight tools.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate programs, program management, consulting, or related fields; nonprofit and corporate partnership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of portfolio-level performance, including P&L or margin accountability and capacity planning.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing multi-million dollar operating budgets, including revenue forecasting and recognized revenue oversight in partnership with Finance.
  • Proven experience structuring and closing complex, multi-year, revenue-generating corporate engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Development or Sales teams to drive new business, renewals, and account expansion.
  • Track record managing enterprise-level corporate accounts with multi-stakeholder scope.
  • Proven success building, coaching and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Experience serving as senior escalation lead for complex client environments.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
  • Able to occasionally travel overnight (estimated 10-15%).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to create a welcoming work environment for all.

Responsibilities

  • Translate SVP strategy into operational priorities.
  • Oversee day-to-day portfolio health and performance across Activation, and Consulting & Insights.
  • Own portfolio KPIs (revenue, margin, delivery health, partner satisfaction) and lead regular portfolio reviews.
  • Develop and manage the annual Corporate Programs operating budget in partnership with Finance, including quarterly reforecasting and variance analysis.
  • Own revenue forecasting across Activation and Consulting & Insights, aligning pipeline projections to recognized revenue targets.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition, billing alignment, and margin reporting across corporate engagements.
  • Lead pricing discipline and margin reviews to ensure proposals are resourced, profitable and deliverable.
  • Ensure capacity planning, resource prioritization, and program delivery standards aligns to pipeline growth and contracted commitments.
  • Standardize operational processes and ensure high-quality proposal-to-delivery handoffs.
  • Represent operational perspectives in senior leadership forums and support productization for scale.
  • Partner with the SVP and Development to design and advance complex, multi-year corporate engagements and client pitches, ensuring proposals are operationally feasible, appropriately resourced, and positioned for successful delivery.
  • Act as a consultative advisor to corporate prospects and partners, converting social impact goals into scalable, revenue-generating solutions and identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts in partnership with Development, ensuring operational readiness to deliver growth.
  • Represent Points of Light externally as a senior leader in meetings with key corporate clients, prospects, and Global Network affiliates.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate delivery and margin risks, serving as the executive escalation point for complex client or affiliate issues impacting satisfaction, renewal, or profitability, and elevating to the SVP when appropriate.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports across the portfolio, building bench strength, succession readiness, and a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Model executive presence and business development acumen, preparing Directors to lead senior partner conversations, manage complex escalations, and navigate cross-portfolio tradeoffs.
  • Serve as the SVP’s operational deputy, owning people management (including 1:1s, performance calibration, and succession planning) and providing leadership continuity in internal decision-making.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for operational and partner issues, ensuring timely resolution while protecting delivery quality, team performance, and renewal outcomes.
  • Standardize and maintain delivery playbooks, tools, templates and operating procedures that enable consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Support development of presentation decks, sales-enablement materials, case studies, and productized content for internal and external audiences.
  • Facilitate trainings and capacity-building programs for the Points of Light Global Affiliate Network to strengthen Corporate Activation delivery.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and represent Points of Light at select external forums, as appropriate.
