About The Position

The Vice President Construction role is part of Spectrum's Field Operations business unit, focusing on plant performance, outage and service-call reduction, productivity, and quality assurance. This position is responsible for managing all construction activity in the assigned RDOF region with an estimated budget of $700 - $900M and a team of approximately 40 employees. The Vice President will develop construction teams, secure contractor resources, and ensure that construction schedules and FCC milestones are met. Collaboration with various departments is essential to execute overall project plans effectively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working and leading the field construction/engineering function in the cable/communication business.
• 8 years of management experience in annual budget preparation and implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent field experience.
• SCTE/BCTE certification or equivalent field experience.
• Advanced knowledge of FTTH, HFC, and IP Networks.
• Comprehensive understanding of FCC compliance reports and applicable local and state rules and regulations.
• Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, HVAC, and power distribution systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Digital Transmission, Electronic theory, Fiber Optic theory, National Electric Code, and National Electric Safety Code.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to manage all construction activity in assigned RDOF region.
• Develop RDOF region construction teams and secure contractor resources to meet construction schedules.
• Work closely with Field Operations region leadership to ensure informed input into construction plans.
• Collaborate with VP of Design, VP of Plant Regulatory Strategy & Deployment, Legal, Government Affairs, Procurement, Customer Operations, Marketing, and Corporate Leadership.
