We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Compliance & Control I - GSS Enablement Platform Controls to join our Enterprise Business Platform team. This role is located in New York, NY / Jersey City, NJ. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Business or Finance degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
- Background in Financial Services, Audit, or Compliance preferred.
- Experience with financial services compliance and/or assigned products, services, business lines, and relevant laws, regulations, and rules preferred.
- No direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Contribute with minimal guidance to the compliance efforts of assigned business units, helping bring them into compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
- Assist business units in responding to and developing compliance reporting as directed.
- Work with business units to implement control improvements and develop documentation based on control assessments.
- Analyze existing legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices to ensure compliance with current requirements.
- Contribute to projects and program tasks aimed at improving compliance and enhancing the control environment.
- Analyze control processes for compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and help guide business units in implementing improvements.
- Build and maintain working relationships with regulators, government officials, and business unit managers to facilitate timely information delivery and favorable compliance conditions.
- Contribute to assessments of control effectiveness ensuring ongoing compliance with key laws, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare risk-based reviews of regulatory requirements, issues, and control gaps, escalating issues appropriately.
- Support the achievement of team objectives.
