About The Position

The Vice President of Commercial Operations at Vera Therapeutics will lead and build all commercial operation functions, including sales operations, marketing operations, forecasting, analytics, and market research. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in commercial operations and analytics, with five years in senior leadership roles.
  • Strong launch experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading and scaling commercial operations for product launches.
  • Deep understanding of commercial functions and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Commercial Leadership Team to develop and execute commercial strategy and operational plans.
  • Lead the development of the Commercial Operations function, including market research, forecasting, field operations, data management, training, analytics, and reporting.
  • Lead a high performing market research and forecasting function to provide business insights for the commercial organization.
  • Develop best-in-class forecasting approaches and drive alignment with the senior leadership team.
  • Collaborate with other commercial functions to develop KPIs for pre-launch and post-launch objectives.
  • Oversee field effectiveness and operations, including team size, territory planning, CRM design, and performance reporting.
  • Partner with Market Access for channel inventory management and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure optimal functioning of data and systems for sales tracking and revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate with various internal functions to operationalize processes like LRP, Budget, and Portfolio prioritization.
