About The Position

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to fill a Senior Leadership position in our Collections business unit. This role encompasses Collections Operations and Client Engagement, Account Management, Performance Analysis, and Vendor Management. This senior-level position will provide oversight and support for our collections program to include managing front-line and back-office operations, act as a liaison between clients and our finance and reporting teams, and drive product enhancements to meet client needs and improve collections processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Collections Management, ideally within the credit union or banking sectors.
  • Extensive background in people leadership, account management, performance analysis, and product ownership at an executive level.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in performance analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large client portfolios, driving product improvements, and achieving outstanding results.
  • Highly collaborative team player with proven team-building and leadership abilities.
  • Able to travel locally and/or nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage frontline collections processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with organizational and compliance standards.
  • Lead and develop collections personnel (agents, supervisors, and managers) to achieve production and performance objectives.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance collections effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and managing client and vendor partnerships.
  • Track production and performance at portfolio and client levels; address issues promptly to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct detailed performance and trend analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization and improved outcomes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to clients and senior leadership, including actionable insights and improvement plans.
  • Partner with internal reporting, analytics, product, IT, and development teams to meet client requirements and implement enhancements.
  • Address client concerns and deliver solutions that improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a champion for collections-related tools and systems, recommending and driving enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness and innovation.
