About The Position

The Juilliard School is seeking a Vice President and Chief Development Officer to join at a pivotal moment in the school's history. This individual will report to the President and will work with a dedicated leadership team and an engaged Board of Trustees. The VP will serve as a key advisor on philanthropy, creating and implementing strategies to ensure Juilliard's continued success and expanded impact through increased philanthropic support. The role oversees a team of 24, including 7 direct reports, and requires an entrepreneurial leader with a belief in the transformative power of art.

Requirements

• Established senior executive with a track record in leadership and fundraising.
• Experience in capital campaigns and major gift solicitations.
• Ability to articulate the President's vision to diverse audiences.
• Experience in higher education, performing arts, or relevant not-for-profit settings.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree is a plus.

• Experience with budget preparation and administration.
• Willingness to travel and attend evening and weekend events.

Responsibilities
