About The Position

Lead, manage and provide direction to a highly trained and experienced sales team across a diverse geography in support of Farm Credit clients. Proactively manages staff, customer relationships, marketing efforts, and external relationships important to CoBank's mission and customers. Develops short- and long-term sales goals and implements strategies to meet desired goals. Develops calling, training and speaking programs for Farm Credit associations, industry trade groups, and other organizations important to CoBank's cash management success. Proactively coordinates customer and prospect calls as well as business partner training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of Cash Management Sales Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall leadership nationally to increase CoBank’s profile with customers, prospects and organizations important to the success of the business. Ensures that CoBank is viewed as a trusted advisor with regard to cash management.
  • Serves as a primary liaison with Farm Credit associations to increase the volume of cash management business done with companies that are not CoBank customers.
  • Actively conducts in-person and/or joint client calls with sales team members. Assists in providing direction and strategy in closing high revenue deals.
  • Actively manages all disciplines within the sales management process including pipeline management, calling activity, goal obtainment, relationship reviews and relationship referrals.
  • Identifies and provides direction to sales teams for client relationship management, solving internal obstacles or service issues, and delivering seamless execution.
  • Provides guidance and expertise on pricing, client proposals and crafting appropriate solutions to team members.
  • Actively manages and identifies areas of improvement to drive business results through effective and seamless client delivery and ongoing employee development.
  • Collaborates with business partners, product development team, operations and other associates to cast a facilitate proactive, candid, meaningful communication and partnership among the teams.
  • Provides leadership and fosters a high-performing environment by cultivating talent through coaching, and providing direct, candid and regular feedback and development planning. Supports leadership and strong performance among team members, and proactively works toward maintaining a pipeline of talent in various markets.
  • As a people manager at CoBank, you will be expected to manage and lead associates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, associate performance management, talent strategy, workforce planning, change management, conflict resolution, and relationship management. You will drive and be accountable for the team’s development, alignment with the division’s objectives, as well as with CoBank’s strategy and mission.
