Teton RidgeFort Worth, TX

About The Position

Teton Ridge is a visionary force in Western sports, entertainment, media, lifestyle, and equine culture, dedicated to growing the world of the American West to new fans. Our content and events engage a broad community of fans while preserving the traditions and legacy of the American West. From large-scale events like The American Rodeo and The Performance Horseman to The Cowboy Channel, short films, digital and print media, and social-first content, Teton Ridge tells the stories of the rich culture of the American West. Join us in shaping the future of Western sports and entertainment! Teton Ridge is redefining Western sports and lifestyle — and we need a sharp, strategic legal mind to help us do it. We're looking for a Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs who thrives at the intersection of law, entertainment, and business. This is not a back-office role. You'll sit at the table where deals are shaped, partnerships are forged, and bold ideas become reality — across media, live sporting events, advertising, and brand ventures. You'll lead on commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, M&A activity, and risk management, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a key driver of the company's growth. The ideal candidate brings legal precision without losing sight of the bigger picture: moving fast, protecting the brand, and enabling the business to scale. If you're proactive, commercially minded, and energized by the pace of a company building something entirely new in sports and entertainment — we want to hear from you. This position is eligible for remote work. The expected base salary range for this role is $200,000- 225,000, commensurate with experience and skills.

  • Solid experience in sports, media and entertainment law, contract negotiation, and general business law.
  • Strong business acumen with a practical, solution-oriented approach to legal issues.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Business acumen and understanding of financial implications of legal decisions
  • Ethical and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., sponsorship/partnership agreements, affiliate agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, licensing), including agreements related to entertainment, media, advertising, and live sporting events.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, obligations, and business strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing) to support business objectives and mitigate risk.
  • Support corporate governance efforts, including board and shareholder matters, entity management, and corporate filings.
