Requirements

  • J.D. from accredited law school.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a law firm or asset manager working with private funds and direct lending or private equity strategies
  • Hands-on and detail–oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to combine substantive knowledge and experience with a practical approach designed to meet commercial objectives
  • Ability to be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and contribute to new business initiatives and structures

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with and oversee external counsel in the structuring, documentation and closing of new products
  • Collaborate with the General Counsel and business partners in the Product, Accounting, Operations, and Investor Relations teams in connection with new product strategy and development
  • Provide advice and counsel regarding regulatory issues in the private funds space, including those impacting private capital strategies
