About The Position

The Private Infrastructure Debt team is seeking a Vice President to support underwriting, origination, structuring, and portfolio monitoring activities across the Principal Infrastructure Debt platform. This role is execution-focused and will partner closely with senior team members to help support transaction activity, fundraising, and overall platform growth. The Vice President will manage core aspects of investment execution, including financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and preparation of investment recommendations and materials. The role will also support origination efforts by working with external market participants, including Sponsors, Advisors, and Agents, to help drive proprietary transaction flow. The position covers a broad range of infrastructure sectors globally, across high yield and investment grade, including transportation, power and energy, utilities, digital, social infrastructure, and project financings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of relevant infrastructure and project finance origination/underwriting experience
  • Strong credit skills with the ability to model and evaluate complex transactions across multiple infrastructure sectors
  • Demonstrated understanding of market pricing, structures, and terms, with sound commercial judgment
  • Experience coordinating transaction teams and supporting the execution process from origination through closing
  • Growing relationships with infrastructure Sponsors and other market participants
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to operate effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to balance a methodical, detail-oriented approach with commercial awareness
  • Professional and constructive approach to managing differing viewpoints and priorities
