About The Position

Job Description: The Role As a Chapter Leader in Architecture for the Wealth Solutions Platforms , you will lead a team of architects and shape the strategic technical direction across multiple product domains and key capabilities. This role blends deep technical expertise with people leadership to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions that power Fidelity’s Wealth business. You will work across all facets of architecture – including infrastructure, data, security, resilience, integration, and performance to build next-generation software components at one of the world’s largest high-volume FinTech companies. In an agile (Scrum) environment, you will collaborate with business sponsors, product owners, engineers, and fellow architects to design, test, and implement technology solutions. You will also mentor engineers and architects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices. As a people leader, you will set architectural vision and standards, align technology strategy with business goals, and drive the execution of architectural roadmaps. You will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Expertise and Skills You Bring You bring a strong foundation in computer science, a passion for technology leadership, and a proven ability to drive architectural strategy across complex domains. Your qualifications include: 10+ years of experience in software architecture and engineering, focused on scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions. Proven success leading architecture for large-scale applications and platforms, ideally in financial services or wealth management. Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring technical teams, fostering innovation and collaboration. Expertise in modern architecture styles: microservices , event-driven , service-oriented , and serverless architectures. Deep understanding of cloud-native design and deployment , particularly in AWS environments. Hands-on experience with full-stack development using technologies such as Java , Node.js , Angular , and related frameworks. Strong knowledge of integration patterns , API design , and reusable capability development at scale. Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and the AWS Well-Architected Framework . Experience with Agile methodologies , DevSecOps , CI/CD pipelines , and test automation . Preferred: Knowledge of wealth management capabilities and domain-specific challenges. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business and technology domains. The Team You will support 2 to 4 platform areas , delivering technology products that drive Fidelity’s business vision for our customers. You’ll work closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, business strategy, and technology goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture and engineering, focused on scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions.
  • Proven success leading architecture for large-scale applications and platforms, ideally in financial services or wealth management.
