About The Position
The Vice President of American Express National Bank (AENB) Compliance Governance and Oversight is responsible for overseeing the Bank's and its Affiliates' compliance risk management activities. The Vice President is also responsible for Bank policy governance and serves as a voting member on several Bank Committees. This position will be critical to executing AENB Compliance priorities through key partnerships with second line Affiliate Business Compliance Officers and effective challenge of first line stakeholders. Reporting into the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President to lead a centralized AENB Compliance team to manage these governance and oversight activities. This position will require engagement with senior leaders who directly support AENB and AENB Affiliate businesses to provide oversight and credible challenge on potential risk mitigation efforts to support an effective control environment. The Vice President will review and approve new Bank products and monitor customer complaints, findings issued by the second and third lines of defense and well as Bank impacting issues and events.
