About The Position

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s marketing, brand, and communications portfolio strategies. This role ensures the successful positioning, go-to-market execution, customer engagement, and revenue growth. The VP will collaborate across departments—particularly with Sales—to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communication and product management roles.
  • Proven success leading high-growth marketing, communication and product strategies, preferably in waste industry.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, customer acquisition, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Experience communicating the impact of brand activities to C-level executives and Board of Directors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern marketing tech stacks (CRM, automation, ecommerce, sales marketing/enablement. analytics tools).
  • Deep customer empathy and ability to translate insights into actionable solutions and marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of how brand activities connect to demand and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, lead generation, and customer retention.
  • Lead digital marketing, content, communications, demand generation, and PR initiatives.
  • Focus on Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategy to drive sales growth
  • Manage marketing analytics and KPIs to assess performance and optimize campaigns.
  • Conduct market research, customer feedback analysis, and competitive assessments to guide product innovation.
  • Develop pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies to ensure market fit and profitability.
  • Communications Leadership: Develop a coordinated , enterprise-wid e interna l an d externa l corporat e communication s strateg y wit h measurabl e o b jectives .

  • Strategic Alignment & Team Leadership: Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to overall company strategy and planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team across both Marketing and Product functions.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • Present regularly to executive leadership and the board on product and marketing performance, insights, and initiatives.
