About The Position
Dayton T. Brown, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Vibration Technician to join our dynamic organization at our Bohemia, NY location. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within our diverse divisions, including Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems. As a Vibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing vibration and dynamics tests, operating various test facilities, and ensuring that all testing is conducted according to established standards and specifications. Your role will involve interpreting test plans, gathering necessary support equipment, and programming vibration profiles to run tests while meticulously recording required data. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in customer support. This includes assisting customers in locating and setting up test equipment, helping them understand the testing processes, and supplying any missing items they may need. Effective communication with the Test Engineer regarding progress, test anomalies, and other issues is essential to ensure smooth operations. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary maintenance to keep our testing facilities running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You should possess a strong understanding of various sensors and data acquisition systems, as well as the feedback systems of shaker control. This position requires a hands-on individual who can think ahead in set-ups and foresee potential problems, while also maintaining a clean and organized work area. US Citizenship is required for this role.
