You will work as a member of Tesla’s Durability team to help design against vibration and shock loads using a combination of Test tools, Data Analysis, and CAE tools. You will be brilliant both technically as an individual, and as an active member in a diverse and challenging cross-functional team environment. You will work with Vehicle Engineering teams to assess the durability performance of future vehicle designs to develop tests, correlate simulation models and improve the predictive capability of Analysis Engineering at Tesla. Develop and execute vibration and shock durability tests based on raw data collected from proving ground or field data Process public roads, proving ground durability data and developing accelerated random vibration profiles for vibration simulators Design test fixtures in CATIA for mounting sub-systems on electrodynamic and other shaker tables and perform fixture representativeness studies using CAE tools Conduct vibration testing on various vehicle sub-systems on electrodynamic shaker tables Conduct part inspections, root cause and report failures Post process test data and make test reports Continuous improvement of vibration durability methodologies (simulation and testing) Help characterize structures through various test measurements to correlate simulation models Use CAE tools to analyze test representativeness and perform sensitivity studies to guide design Support world-class Engineering teams with design direction based on your assessments
