About the position

VIB seeks a VIB Service Contracts Manager to support the Director of Service Contracts (S/C) in administrative, hiring, and management duties for multiple federal, state, and commercial contracts dispersed across the Commonwealth. In addition, to assist in developing and growing new service contracts that will provide increased career opportunities for Virginians who are blind.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Service Contracts in administrative, hiring, and management duties.
• Manage multiple federal, state, and commercial contracts.
• Assist in developing and growing new service contracts.

Requirements

• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
• Skill to create and maintain complex Excel data spreadsheets.
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and with a diverse customer base.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and make logical conclusions in the analysis and solution of complex service planning and performance issues.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of federal, state, and Agency regulations and policies as they pertain to Service Contracts.
• Training or knowledge of the detailed requirements for administering federal subcontracts under the federal Service Contract Act (SCA) program.
• Knowledge of policies and practices involved in personnel and human resources functions including recruitment, selection, training, and promotion.
• Knowledgeable of accessibility features and licenses required to use MS Office in a business environment.
