About The Position

The Veterinary Technology Program at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach various classes, including day, evening, on-site, and remote sessions. The role involves preparing and delivering instruction, collaborating with college staff, and maintaining program accreditation. Faculty are expected to engage with students, attend meetings, and participate in professional development.

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA-accredited program.
• Credentialed veterinary technician, licensed in the state of Maryland.
• Three years of teaching experience in the veterinary field or supervisory/training role in clinical practice.
• Current knowledge of veterinary practices and AAHA standards of patient care.
• Proficient in clinical lab skills, clinical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and monitoring surgery/anesthesia.
• Ability to engage and effectively teach/mentor students.
• Strong communication, written, medical math, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning through preparation and delivery of instruction.
• Cooperate with College support staff in timely submission of materials and grades.
• Coordinate activities with the Program Director.
• Attend department meetings and participate in professional development.
• Be available to students outside of class.
• Assist in maintaining program accreditation.
• Develop a course syllabus in accordance with program and College policies.
• Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback.
