About The Position

At VCA Bakerstown Animal Hospitals, we are looking for an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our medical team! Our AHAA accredited, Cat Friendly and Fear Free Certified hospital is located just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Our team has a shared devotion to providing progressive medicine with compassion as a driving force and we are eager to welcome a like-minded individual!

Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT).
• Experience in a veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
• Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience.
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Monitor anesthesia.
• Prepare for and assist in surgeries.
• Conduct dental procedures.
• Perform radiology tasks.
• Conduct laboratory work.
• Perform venipuncture.
• Place catheters.
• Manage pharmacy tasks.
• Oversee patient recovery.
• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
