About The Position
S. Monroe Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our small animal hospital team in Tallahassee, FL. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, which include dogs, cats, and exotic animals. The ideal candidate will be punctual, reliable, and possess a good-natured attitude, working well with others in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include collecting samples, delivering medications and IV fluids, obtaining diagnostic radiographs, and checking in and out appointments. You will also be responsible for discussing and educating clients on various aspects of pet care, maintaining the health and cleanliness of hospitalized patients, and adhering to hygienic practices to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. Additionally, you will need to handle difficult and emotional situations with professionalism, ensuring that both our patients and their owners feel supported and cared for during their visits.
