About The Position

Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician. For over 30 years, Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic has provided top-notch care to cats and dogs in Frederick and surrounding communities, operating as an AAHA-accredited hospital since 2002. The clinic is growing and seeks a compassionate, skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join its friendly, collaborative team. The Registered Veterinary Technician serves as the veterinarian's primary medical support, assisting throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases. This role helps veterinarians achieve greater efficiency by handling technical and administrative details and plays a significant part in communicating with and educating clients about their pets. Requirements

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification

Responsibilities

Client education
Maintaining medical charts
Blood draws
Administering medications and injections
Performing radiographs
Placing IV catheters
Surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring
Dentistry
Fill prescription requests
Holding and restraining
Facility maintenance and safety
Diagnostics and laboratory procedures
Regular hospital cleaning
