About The Position

VCA Simmons is a fast-paced, 7-doctor veterinary practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support our Pharmacy department and contribute to our dedicated technician team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Veterinary Technician Fear Free Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Dentistry Laboratory work Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients Pharmacy Filling Medications Logging Controls Calling Clients Communicating with Doctors Checking emails and fax Making order list for Medical supplies and Food Sending out precriptions to outisde pharmacies The information in this position description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed. Requirements

Must have documented previous experience
Must have pharmacy experience
Must have surgery experience
Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
Customer service skills
Working knowledge of computers
Excellent communications skills
Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
