About The Position

We are looking for a credentialed or experienced Veterinary Technician to support our goal of creating healthier lives for our patients and their families. At Hamilton Animal Hospital, our technicians work closely with our veterinarians and are involved in the diagnosis and treatment plan for our patients. As an experienced veterinary technician, you already know what it takes to be a successful veterinary professional. The ideal candidate would be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, surgery recovery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, able to use in-house laboratory equipment, understanding the importance of client education, and is a positive and supportive team player. Requirements

  • 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Knowledge of vaccines and proper administration
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience dispensing and administering medications
  • Able to obtain a complete patient history and maintain treatment records
  • Pharmacology calculations and surgical experience (prep, monitoring, recovery, etc.)
  • Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Positive team-player willing to continue to learn
