Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician licensure in this state (preferred)
  • 1–2 years of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for building lasting relationships (Client-Centric Focus)
  • Ability to lift 20+ lbs. and work in a fast-paced, sometimes emotionally demanding environment (Physical Stamina)
  • Interest in using technology to improve veterinary care and client experience (Technological Savvy)
  • Highly adaptable and enthusiastic about team-based patient care (Collaborative Spirit)

Nice To Haves

  • Fear Free and HABRI certification or a willingness to achieve them

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with routine appointments, surgeries, and patient care.
  • Collect and process diagnostic samples, administer medications, and prepare for surgeries.
  • Record detailed patient histories and manage pharmaceutical inventories.
  • Take and interpret radiographs, including dental X-rays, and perform ultrasonic dental cleanings.
  • Monitor general anesthesia, dress wounds, and assist with procedures like catheterization and ear flushes.
  • Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
  • Educate clients on preventive care, dental hygiene, nutrition, and more.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a positive work environment and assist with onboarding new employees.
  • Champion the company brand by promoting services like grooming, daycare, and retail offerings.
