Veterinary Technician/Assistant - Tongass Veterinary Services Juneau, Alaska Come Join A Great Team!! Tongass Veterinary Services is actively looking for an experienced veterinary technician or assistant . The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and the team . We are looking for someone with at least two years of experience but are willing to train the right candidate. A positive and motivating attitude is a must . The ideal candidate would be confident in proper animal handling and restraint, rooming patients, assisting technicians and veterinarians, helping with surgical recovery, drawing blood, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and supportive team player. Requirements

1+ years of veterinary experience
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not
