About The Position

VCA Family and Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center is growing! We are adding Registered Veterinary Technicians to our ER/CCU, Specialty and GP Teams. We have added positions and have openings on the following teams: Specialty Oncology Specialty Internal Medicine ER and Critical Care Unit General Practice Location: 98-1254 Kaʻahumanu St, Pearl City, HI 96782 Compensation : $ 25 - $ 35 / hr Dependent on position, schedule, experience, education, credentials, and position on team. Schedule : FT all shifts depending team and position Requirements: Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state or Hawaii or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Hawaii. Positions may include, but are not limited to: Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures. Venipuncture and IVC placement Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc. Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team. Recognize subtle change in clinical status. Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them. Complete estimates, basic record keeping. Surgical preparation and assisting. Anesthesia monitoring. Requirements
