About Our Hospital At VCA Midtown Animal Hospital, you’ll join a collaborative, multi-doctor team. The Role As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting a high-quality client experience, with a primary focus on surgery and dentistry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is passionate about anesthesia, surgical assisting, and dental prophylaxis and radiography. You’ll work closely with veterinarians to support a wide range of procedures, utilizing your technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient.

Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-op recovery
  • Perform dental cleanings, charting, and radiographs
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM
  • Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records
