About The Position

Amici Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician! Award-winning Amici Pet Hospital in Little Italy is a fast-growing, multi-doctor practice looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. Our ideal candidate is hard-working, works well in a team environment, loves what they do, and treats every patient as if he or she is their own. Tech experience and anesthesia/surgery/dentistry experience are preferred. Candidates must have strong communication skills and be computer-savvy with strong attention to detail. We are offering a Full-time position that includes two Saturday shifts (8:30 am - 2:30 pm) per month. Wages will be determined by experience. Responsibilities

Anesthesia and Surgery monitoring
Dental prophy and extractions (RVT)
Proper restraining of patients
Assisting with doctor exams
Injections (IV, SQ, IM)
IV catheter placement
Blood draws
Proper radiograph technique
Critical care (triage, treatment, monitoring)
Effective, people-oriented communication
Assisting receptionists when able
