About The Position

Hilton Head Veterinary Clinic is growing and looking for an experienced Full-Time Veterinary Technician to support our additional doctor days. Salary: $19 – $25 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: 4/10-hour shifts. Monday – Saturday. Closed on Sunday and major holidays. You must be willing to work at both hospital locations. Locations: 109 Mathews Dr, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 200 Okatie Village Dr, Okatie, SC 29909 Sign-On Bonus: Up to $3000 for Licensed Veterinary Technicians; up to $1500 for 5+ years of experience without license. Who You Are: 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with cats, dogs, and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital setting Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, radiology Skilled in IV Catheter placement, blood draws, and general treatment room tasks Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care Laboratory skills including in-house laboratory machines and using the microscope Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis What Makes Us Different Referral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid! Requirements

  • 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
