Whippany Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated and compassionate Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our friendly, team-oriented hospital. Requirements

Prior experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is required
Comfortable working in exam rooms and supporting client-facing appointments
Experience with blood draws, placing IV catheters, injections, vaccines, and client education
Familiarity with basic lab work and medical record systems
Calm, compassionate animal handling skills
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Desire to continue learning and growing within the veterinary field

Nice To Haves

Licensed or certified veterinary technicians in New Jersey is preferred, but licensure is not required

Responsibilities

Supporting doctors during wellness and sick appointments
Assisting with patient restraint, sample collection, and treatments
Drawing blood, placing IV catheters, running in-house lab work, and preparing samples for send-out testing
Administering vaccines and medications as directed
Discussing vaccine protocols, preventive care, and post-visit instructions with clients
Providing compassionate, low-stress patient handling and nursing care
Supporting anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and dental procedures as trained veterinary technician
Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
Collaborating with technicians, assistants, and CSRs to keep appointments running smoothly
