About The Position

The Veterinary Eye Center of Massachusetts, the first stand-alone practice for veterinary ophthalmology in the region, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician with anesthesia skills to join our talented team. As a member of the ophthalmology team, in addition to traditional Vet Tech duties, you will be actively involved in: Client education Ophthalmic disease testing Performing pre-surgical diagnostics Post operative patient care Rounding with the doctors on cases using learned ophthalmology knowledge Leading appointments

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Anesthesia Skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
  • The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
  • A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
  • An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
  • A commitment to the welfare of animals
