Requirements
- Previous surgical experience required (anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and recovery)
- Strong communication and client-service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with EzyVet is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and all aspects of surgery
- Perform surgical prep, including induction, IV catheter placement, intubation, and anesthesia monitoring
- Maintain sterile technique and assist during surgery as needed
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Perform diagnostics, including bloodwork, radiology, and lab tests
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Provide safe handling and restraint of animals
- Maintain detailed medical records
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, surgery suite, kennel areas, and equipment
- Contribute to a positive, team-centered work environment
