Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, located in New York, New York, has an opening for a full time Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. Applicants must hold a current license or be able to sit for the VTNE. Responsibilities include strong client communication skills, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, radiography, lab chemistry and records management. Scheduling flexibility is required. Salary based on experience, experienced technicians higher, both include a rich benefit package.

Requirements

  • Valid NYS Veterinary Technician license
  • Experience in a general practice or emergency setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
  • Candidates with experience can expect a wage commensurate with their knowledge and skill set. We place enormous importance on continuing education and want to see your career flourish. We provide CE for our staff at least annually with plenty of additional opportunities to travel and visit conferences and other education venues.
  • Full-Time: This position requires some evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays on a rotating basis. Also, it will require filling in at the other Heart of Chelsea locations.
