About The Position

Melrose Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician — certified (CVT) or experienced non-certified —to join our AAHA-accredited, seven-doctor small animal practice in Melrose, MA. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions and welcome technicians at different stages of their careers who are passionate about patient care and teamwork. Requirements

Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT/LVT/RVT) or experienced non-credentialed veterinary technicians/assistants
Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable
A genuine passion for animal care and client service

Nice To Haves

Experience with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, or lab work is a plus

Responsibilities

Assisting in surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
Performing dental cleanings and maintaining dental equipment
Supporting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
Providing client education on preventive care and wellness
Conducting laboratory testing and sample processing
Performing phlebotomy and digital radiography
Proper cleaning, sterilization, and organization of instruments
Safe, gentle, and effective animal restraint
