Requirements

  • 1+ years of Experience in the Veterinary industry
  • High school diploma, GED certificate (But not required)
  • Availability to work minimum of 34-40 hours weekly, weekends, and holidays
  • Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
  • Be a reliable, positive, and professional self-starter who demonstrates strong work ethic, excellent communication, initiative, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be comfortable carrying, restraining animals of all sizes, lifting up to 50lbs and walking or standing for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient and client care, educating clients on services and best practices.
  • Assist Veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and procedures.
  • Evaluate pets, perform treatments (IVs, blood draws, labs, radiographs), and update doctors on current condition or owner concerns.
  • Admit, discharge, medicate, walk, feed, and care for patients; safely restrain animals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked hospital, stay current on drugs and their proper use, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
