Requirements

• Veterinary technician certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience.
• Extensive knowledge of preventative care topics.
• Strong communication skills with clients.
• Experience in animal catheterization and wound care.
• Familiarity with anesthesiology and pet care techniques.
• Ability to handle various animal species.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Fear Free practices.
• Experience in kennel work and laboratory procedures.
• Relevant skills in dog training and X-Ray procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical skills in surgery, anesthesia, and exam rooms.
• Monitor anesthesia and sedated patients during procedures.
• Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Perform drug calculations, phlebotomy, and IV catheter placements.
• Educate clients on preventative care topics such as vaccines and parasite protection.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health and care.
• Maintain knowledge of routinely used medications, preventatives, and vaccines.
• Handle various animal species with appropriate restraint and care.
