About The Position

VCA Simmons is a fast-paced, 7-doctor veterinary practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support our Pharmacy department and contribute to our dedicated technician team.

Requirements

• Must have documented previous experience
• Must have pharmacy experience
• Must have surgery experience
• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments

• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Calling Clients
• Communicating with Doctors
• Checking emails and fax
• Making order list for Medical supplies and Food
• Sending out prescriptions to outside pharmacies
