There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (PESCM) is seeking dedicated Full-Time Veterinary Technicians to join our weekend overnight emergency crew. This position involves working 12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday, with an overnight differential included in the compensation. We are proud to be the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin, offering a wide range of specialties including Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care. Our mission is to serve both pets and their owners by continuously improving our medical practices, service quality, communication, and personal development. At PESCM, we pride ourselves on not being a typical veterinary hospital. Our management team consists of individuals who have been with the hospital for over a decade, all of whom have been promoted from within. This unique perspective allows us to understand the needs of our employees, as we have experienced similar roles ourselves. We offer predictable schedules, regular time off, competitive pay, and generous benefits in a nurturing yet professional environment that fosters growth and success. We believe that the key to combating compassion fatigue in veterinary medicine is to take care of each other, creating a supportive team atmosphere. As a Veterinary Technician at PESCM, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care. Your duties will include patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy. In the Emergency department, you will also be tasked with setting up continuous rate infusions (CRIs), calculating medical math, placing indwelling urinary and jugular catheters, providing compassionate care for hospitalized patients, preparing and administering blood and plasma transfusions, assisting in surgeries, maintaining accurate treatment sheets, taking radiographs, and using mechanical ventilators for anesthesia. Additionally, you will provide client education on a wide range of at-home care topics.
