About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Sandy Springs, GA is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to work in our Urgent Care department. This position involves inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia in patients, as well as using anesthesia and monitoring equipment. The Veterinary Technician will triage emergency cases, perform digital radiography, assist with CT, endoscopy, and ultrasonography, and have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs. Responsibilities also include obtaining and interpreting vital signs, identifying patients at risk for arrest, calculating medical math, and administering medications. The role requires proficiency in phlebotomy, placing intravenous catheters, and maintaining feeding tubes and catheters. Mentoring and training fellow team members is also a key aspect of this position.
