About The Position

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency is building a surgery-focused technician team capable of supporting complex, referral-level procedures with precision, confidence, and clinical autonomy. This role is for top-tier Surgical Veterinary Technicians who are already operating at—or pushing toward—VTS-level proficiency and want to master anesthesia, own their cases, and operate alongside advanced surgical teams. It is not a generalist role, but rather for technicians who want to move beyond routine procedures into complex, referral-level surgery, are actively pursuing or seriously considering a VTS in Surgery or Anesthesia, and take pride in technical precision, clinical decision-making, and patient advocacy. The position offers a career accelerator for those looking to work at a higher clinical level, be surrounded by skilled professionals, build toward VTS-level expertise, and have their technical ability fully utilized and respected.
