The Opportunity: Reporting to the hospital director and working closely with the Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Services ( ECC ) faculty service head, this position is responsible for supervising and coordinating full-time civil service and hourly employees including charge nurses in the SA Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ). Perform skilled veterinary technical duties in the management and recovery of post-operative and critical care patients. Communicate treatment protocols with 4th year veterinary students and assist in explaining specific techniques to students. Assist clinicians and students with incoming emergencies, assess and triage patients, and provide initial stabilization of patients. Monthly Salary: $5,531 to $6,576 | Range 53 (Steps F-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 . In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
