About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Relief Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department! This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be involved in various critical tasks including triaging patients, obtaining patient history, identifying patients at risk for arrest, initiating CPR, placing IVCs and advanced catheters, monitoring ventilator cases, and providing level 2 & 3 inpatient care. You will work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients and have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.

Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT)
• Experience in emergency and specialty veterinary care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
• Perform advanced radiographs
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Provide level 2 & 3 inpatient care
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants
• Mentor and train other co-workers
