About The Position

Animal Medical Center is seeking qualified candidates for a position requiring specific certifications in animal rehabilitation. This is not an entry-level position, and applicants must hold one of the following qualifications: CCAT, CCRP, CCRVN, CVMRT, or VTS (Physical Rehab). The center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing high-quality pet healthcare and advanced diagnostics. The role involves working in a dedicated physical rehabilitation space and requires proficiency in various therapeutic techniques and equipment.

Requirements

• Must hold one of the following certifications: CCAT, CCRP, CCRVN, CVMRT, or VTS (Physical Rehab).
• Demonstrates a caring and compassionate commitment to patients, clients, and the team.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency using the underwater treadmill and therapy laser.
• Utilization of therapeutic exercises to improve proprioception, balance, speed, endurance, focal strength, pelvic limb function, forelimb function, and neurologic function.
• Proper use of therapeutic exercise equipment such as physioballs, cavaletti rails, balance blocks and discs, weights, tunnels, rocker boards, and wobble boards.
• Proficient in using manual techniques such as massage, ROM exercises, and stretching techniques.
• Utilizes physical modalities as tools to alleviate pain, improve strength, aid in tissue healing, and more.
• Ensure that proper documentation (recordkeeping) is performed in a timely and detailed fashion.
• Client communication: communicates clear and concisely, providing home care instructions for client reference.
• Collaborate as a team with Animal Medical Center veterinarians and other team members.
